MELAKA, 27 March 2020 WM Environment Sdn Bhd, an integrated waste management and public cleansing service provider, advised the public to dispose of used face masks and gloves properly by following the correct procedures. Its Melaka and Negeri Sembilan regional manager Dr Al’Ashari Othman said this was to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, hence reducing the infection risk to the rubbish collectors who were exposed to the virus. “For used mask, it need to be folded with the contaminated part facing inwards. The mask and glove need to be wrapped in plastic before disposal,” he said in a statement here today.
